It’s no surprise that Clear + Brilliant® has become a go-to resurfacing procedure in dermatology since its launch in 2011. It’s a comfortable, gentle, yet effective treatment that's appropriate for most skin types, including patients with darker skin tones.
Clear + Brilliant® uses a non-invasive fractional laser that creates thousands of microscopic treatment zones in the skin's upper layers, stimulating collagen production and removing dead cells. This treatment is perfect for those seeking noticeably refreshed and healthier-looking skin with little to no downtime.
Clear + Brilliant® is one of the most popular medical lasers for good reason. It’s clinically proven to address many skin issues, but it’s more gentle and less invasive than most fractional laser treatments.
Dr. Kuzel will meet with you to assess your skin, discuss your concerns and determine if Clear + Brilliant® is the right approach. Depending on your skin, Dr. Kuzel may recommend multiple treatments spaced approximately one month apart.
The Clear + Brilliant® laser treatment is a non-invasive procedure that uses laser energy to refresh your skin. The laser creates microscopic channels in your skin, which stimulates your body's natural healing process and replaces old, damaged skin cells with new, healthy ones.
About an hour before your treatment, we will cleanse the treatment area to remove makeup and apply a bit of numbing cream to ensure your comfort during the procedure.
Then, the device will be guided over your skin, focusing on your face as a whole, with particular emphasis on targeted areas determined in your consultation. The procedure takes about 30 minutes from start to finish.
Your skin will begin to feel softer and look brighter within a week or two of the treatment. Results can last for months depending on age, skin condition, and how you protect your skin.
Mild redness and swelling may occur immediately after the treatment but should subside within a few hours. Over the next few days, you may experience some dryness and flakiness as your skin regenerates, but this should improve as the healing progresses.
It is important to follow the post-treatment care instructions including avoiding sun exposure, using gentle cleansers, moisturizing frequently, and avoiding makeup and other irritants for at least 24 hours.
Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds and self-tanners for at least two weeks prior to your appointment. Stop using retinol products and exfoliants for a few days before treatment.
